I'm sure not everyone will agree but in my personal opinion Set Restarts in particular are destroying the game and allowing the referee to basically control the outcome of games. Combine the Set Restarts with diabolical refereeing and bunker calls then the whole fairness of Rugby League has long gone. Seriously today's game was disgraceful refereeing ( yes the Eels made some poor mistakes and the younger players are still learning) but a 10-1 penalty count and not 1 repeat set 🤣. This seems to be a continual report on 85% of refereeing of the Eels games. In my opinion the Eels hierarchy need to speak up about the appalling referee and bunker calls. It's not only the Eels coping it but it seems the lower placed teams get the raw end of the stick. Ricky Stuart isn't afraid of speaking up when things go against his team with refs. About time the Eels did the same or they'll continue to be the NRL doormat team

Yep agreed. There is clearly an agenda with the NRL and which teams they want to be successful. It stinks really, and it's issues like this that are killing our game. It's time they were called out about this, but the media plays up to the same tune.
I've mentioned this a few times over the last few weeks, but the only thing thst the 6 against does, is they give the refs an opportunity to set the momentum for the opposition team and wrest momentum away from an attacking team.
The refs shouldn't be allowed to influence the results but it seems they have the biggest bearing on results and this should not be the case. No other sport does the ref have such a large say on the result. Not cricket, not tennis, not AFL and not soccer.
Its kind of a huge problem. The game needs to address the grey areas so that the refs influence can be limited IMO.
The 6 again is literally there for the referees to influence the result. It's the single biggest blight on the game , and is corrupted. You don't even get the luxury of a replay or ability to challenge.
I wish I had the tools and smarts to break down a game piece by piece highlighting every 6 again with still shots . Imagine the controversy if one of the games analyst's with a platform ran an agenda against the corruption of officials and broke down the games of the round with still of every 6 again and momentum swings they've been able to influence.
I have had issues with the 6 agains as well. Any thoughts about a better way to handle the infringements around the circumstances to address the issue around slowing the play the ball and offside issues?
I'm sure there have always been infringements in the game but in the end it sorts itself out without the ridiculous 'repeat set' nonsense. Just let the game flow and the players will sort it out against each other.

I would absolutely watch that....hell i'd be a paid subscriber. It would be a wtf bloodsport.....There's a dollar in this for the right guy.

That's exactly what needs to happen Wiz but it seems most fans are too caught up with NRL narratives to put some time into this.
I think we would be amazed at how obviously corrupt the NRL refs and game is, if this is done for an entire round of footy.
I have no idea even what the set restart is for it's a complete gamble if you get them or not the tackles all look the same from both sides it's a farce and should scraped
I don't know if consistent errors or perceived referree bias are reviewed. Players if they don't perform are constantly considerd to earn their place.Does the same apply to referees?
