      • DT you hipster doofus..

  • Wow gotta love the silly season what a load of BS there was no chance of happening just some grand final week filler!

Boring always some story trying to destabilise of club get a life people!!'🤬😡🤬

  • If Ryles can snag a few storm players to sign with Parra after this weeks grandfinal that would be ideal

    my hitlist would be

    Big Nelson

    Garlick

    Warbrick

    Wishart

    • He can't. He was released early to come to the eels with an agreement that he would not take any players the Storm wanted to retain for 2025.

      • I kept hearing mixed that it was players, then it was coaches he couldn't take. I think both haha.

  • The question remains, who leaked this story.

I don't think it was Bellamy, or the Storm hierarchy, what would they get out of it especially being GF week. I doubt it was our club, no one, us fans or media, knew about the approach. One person who would be pissed off about this story is James Hooper, imagine what he would have reported.

    • 1st 3 words of the article is a dead giveaway strife torn parramatta...

      • Yeah it's definitely someone trying to sensationalise the situation. Not sure how they got the scoop, but it's really a nothing story. Does it really surprise anyone? As has been said, Parra would have been stupid to not ask the question of the top NRL coaches even if they never believed they could realistically pull it off.

That being said, those in the know at the club need to be more careful of what they say to media. If they can't keep their mouths shut to anything other than official statements,  they probably don't have the club's best interests in mind.

        • The BA sacking came out of nowhere. So did the Bennett leaks. So did the Ryles hire. So have our signings (other than Lomax). Those in the club do keep their mouth shut to media majority of the time. For all we know this could be a media beat up or taken out of context.

    • Spot on HKF - as per normal.

People have a problem because we had a shot at one of modern history's most successful coaches and the club showed that they were prepared, and had the ability, to throw big, big, BIG cash at him.

Then when we missed out we signed his apprentice (Jeez - I wonder if Ryles spoke to Bellyache and sought his opinion before signing on with the Eels? I reckon Bellamy might well have told him it could well be a career-making appointment).

I LOVE that we chased a big fish and made what was clearly a genuine play for him. Shows intent.

The club's heading in the right direction.
