1st of all the whole unfair Draw argument is irrelevant we started slow and have been inconsistent all season.
Do we point fingers at BA personally I'd like to blame him as I do want him gone but last year buys him credit.
The recruitment and retention committee have alot to blame poor recruitment last season only Hopgood is of any worth. Our depth and poor reserve grade form hasn't helped
Avoidable suspensions matto and Brown. Dumb suspensions Reg and Sivo
Long term Injuries Greig Reg and Lane.

What brought our season undone?

Brown may have only touched her up, but he proper fucked us.
Season is definitely over well and truly. I blame the following:
1. Eels recruiting
2. Eels coaching
3. Browns tittie touching
4. RCG, Sivos suspensions
5. Disgraceful NRL draw Eels have worst in NRL
6. Stupid Fittler and Alexander selecting Moses, Gutho and RCG for an absolute dead rubber origin game. Since Origin Moses RCG and Gutho have been crap.
7. The disgraceful Refereeing
Now have to wait until 2024 which honestly doesn't look any better. If knights beat raiders Eels drop down to 10th
Add in Hodgeson and the amount of time it took for BA to realise he was killing our attack. Although it's unlikely BA realised and he's unfortunate injury was fortuitous.

Thank fuck Brad signed such a complete player in Davey, and held the club back with his persistence in having Jake as our back up half, now we have no back up for it
I think the Eels will be in the finals again next year but there isn't much you can do about injuries or suspensions which really hurt the Eels this season. Suspensions are all on the players, not the club or coaches.
Recruitment and retention I don't think has been that bad. Could it have been better? Moses, Brown and Penesini re-signed, it looks like Carty will and we got Hopgood and Hands. That's far from terrible.
The slow start will have to be addressed and player ill discipline. Outside of that, I think the Eels have a good squad but they absolutely need to be looking towards the future with a number of our stars all around 30 years of age.
