Russell until 2031 is 100% ridiculous. Id hate to think of the amount of the amount of retaliation the club would get if we'd matched the bears offer.
5 year deals are only reserved for current Origin type players, or younger guns who have unlimited upside. Iongi fits that perfectly. Russell comes nowhere near either category.
Apparently we did try to match the Bears offer of two hotdogs and a coke, but we weren't willing to go more than 2 years.
Odd colour choice being blue and gold...
This will be the biggest news since the Justin Poore signing
How poor was Justin poore for us, almost as bad as Bob lidner.
Chiefy, let's wait and see.
Rabbits have benefactors to circumnavigate cap contract values & outbid us. A difficult battle to win.
If he stays, it's likely the narrative will be "he stayed for less", and mass "outrage".
If he leaves, let's hope he's worth the cap price. Not sure about that. Because he'd be number 2 after Moses. Still, I'll abide by Ryles' and the club's judgement on it.
