I draw many simliarities between the West Indies Cricket Team and the Parramatta Eels Rugby League Football club. Through a 20 year period had unmatchable success and a list of hall of famers and Immortals in the 70s and 80s (Parra more late 70s)....but due to lack of forsight, a reliance on we will always have local talent that good coming through and pure incompetence we are at we we are now living on past glories.
and might I add P G , when the Australian economy is healthy and doing well , so are the parramatta eels also doing well .

Well, the PNG Cannibals are part of a Aust government diplomatic effort incl Funding, Tax-breaks & I would expect providing TPA's. Also pressuring NRL & every other backdoor shenanigan you would expect of a Govt looking for Australian influence in PNG and expecting return on investment.
If I take off my Eels goggles I'm all for it. And the Fuzzy-Wuzzy's love it. But the politics will DEFINATELY affect what happens on field
