Big name players are agitating for releases more then we think, others have get out clauses, and others are off contract. It may appear that way, but seriously think of all the signings this season between all the clubs, some serious talent has been available. As of last week there was Staggs, Cobbo, Hass, Tino has a get out clause, Luai has a get out clause DCE, Da Silva, Sandon Smith, Mahoney. Just off the top of my head.
The real problem is as a club we are missing out on them or talent like them and we need to understand why. Are we not identifying the talent, are we not able to negotiate in right manner, are we just not interested, are we not a destination etc etc.
You are spot on with your first paragraph BE. That is what Ryles and co. are waiting on. Players will come available in the off-season as teams caps get tighter they want to make a big move they have to release in order to free up space or players get a better offer straight away.
2nd paragraph is money and you've mentioned it before do our recruitment and GM have the guile to get this type of available talent in the door.Is JR enough of a catch cow to attract the mentioned or are we just going to attract middle of the road and hope what we have gets us moving foward.

We must be thanking our lucky stars that no other club was interested in Rylie Smith, the upgrade was much warranted. Now needs to master a kick and learn the confidence to run yourself, at the right times.
