Starling and Smith combo could work, though both very similar Hookers. I liked it back when we had Riddell/Marsh combo as two different styles of Hookers.
Plus now we have Walker I wonder if Ryles uses him as a 14 too, maybe some Hooker. Ryles must feel Smith still not quite ready for 80, particularly next week in Darwin so would not be surprised if he starts Walker and uses Hopgood at Hooker again until Walker gets up to speed.
I'd keep Walker at Lock so he can connect Brown to the edges. We saw how effective that was against the Dragons. Stick with what works.
I'm not sure why we don't think Hopgood at Hooker for the first 20m won't work. Looked good yesterday.

Did you watch Wishart against the Dragons? He was absolutely useless. I don't see him working outside the Storm system.

I loved it when Ilias caused a head high on Brown, held onto Brown after and then Smith came running over patting Ilias' and Brown's heads but kept patting Ilias'.
Im like he's such a pest but seems to time it well.
Had his best game on the weekend easily. I've been critical of him, but if he keeps improving that jersey is all his. Do think he still needs some help ie starling or someone. He's still got an error or two and the way he plays lets hope injuries stay away (if anyone can remember Pritchard)
Now that we have Dylan Walker off the bench, I don't know if I would be carrying two specialist hookers into a game. That would leave just two specialist forwards on the bench and the way the game is going, it's too fast for the big men to do too many minutes and the higher chance of HIA in the game. Looks like Hopgood can fill that hooker role as well, if needed.
