So the supercoach has come up with run hard, tackle hard. The play book for any U13 dad coach. No shape,no defensive structure and no attacking plays at all.In the first time since watching the game 1977 I have turned a Parra game off.Ryles offers absolutely nothing on either side of the ball and definitely not attracting players to the club.Even the basket case Dragons have signed Keo, Drinkwater and Sami.WTF are we doing.Pretty much the same as Arthurs with no offloads.Rubbish.Not even close to adapting to the way the game is played now.Sack Ryles.

Could Ryles coach last year when Parra went on a late season surge and the eels were rated as the team most like to move up the ladder. What has changed since then?
Lomax walked out, we pissed off the NRL (refs) but the rule changes and injuries are what is different. Look at the storm with an average pack and they are also struggling as much as us despite world class spine and some of best players in the game. Injuries are hurting us more than other sides due to the inexperience and low level after clearing out dead wood from BA years.
Ryles and the club have been open about the direction of the club and not blocking pathways with long-term contracts. That means they have not prioritised immediate results over the future directon of the club.
That sux as a fan but it is better then if we kept older under performing players hoping the change of coach changed the results. The clean out and trying to recruit as new clubs are entering and contract prices are inflated has been a lot harder than expected but then rule changes and the injury list this year are the major problem we have encountered this year.
FM a very fair summation and agree. But i think you maybe Bashing your head against a brick wall geting through to some Hey
Agree with all of this but if this is the case and your Mitchell Moses do you want to be part of this or win a premiership because as of right now I don't see a team or a club that's anywhere close to that even with the injuries we have.
This is the fine line we are walking with our best player. We let DB walk Lomax had his own agenda if Moses walked up at the end of the season and went hey JR hey MoN hey Parramatta I've given you 9-10 years we aren't close to winning a premiership here do we release him also and concentrate on the mentioned long term solution at the position.
Is Moses at the point in his career saying hey I've given everything I have here I can't win here would there be a consideration for me to be shopped to another club in a better more advanced spot than we are as premiership winner is something I want before I retire I mean I echoed this a few weeks ago after the GC loss. This seasons gone with or without Moses what's next is the question if I'm Moses I'd be asking and the club whose next.
Didn't he recently extend his contract and get rid of get out clauses. He isnt going anywhere.
He did exactly that but what's stopping him from asking.
How important is winning a premiership to Moses if he doesn't care and just continues to make the blues and Australian teams ok he'll stay. But I look at what's coming developmentally and our inability to close on the open market the lack of elite talent available.I don't see this drought ending my time soon.
Thats the question how important is a premiership to Mitchell if it's anything and everything with the evidence presented 2nd year in under JR it's not happening here anytime soon.
He signed a 5 year extension & took out the options. He will retire as a Eel, with or without a premiership is the question. U never know what can happen
Coryn, you keep saying we let Brown walk but did you want us to match his $1.4 mil? I know the options were stupid but if we signed him for 3 years instead of 10 to start, which is common extension period, we would have same issue anyway. It was just Newcastle came in with an insane offer, simple as that. We would have been crazy to match it.
If the club had any brains any it should have aligned DBs contract with Mitchell's so you no your halves would have been locked up for Moses's timeframe that's how it should have been done.
What happend here is the club didn't account for Peter O'Sullivan whose had a hard on for DB for 5 yrs we left the door ajar and our arrogance of thinking no one is paying that for DB was tested and they executed the deal and now look at us we lose our best edge and cover defender and we split up one of the best halves duo's in the comp.
All while trying to win a premiership do you think we are better with or without DB the club obviously think the teams better without him to the clubs detriment.
2 words Amateur Night.
I will say, bit funny how they are about not blocking pathways of younger talent, Lorenzo is the it guy. But they also went hard for Galvin. Lorenzo was still here when we went for Galvin, is it they only then went for Lorenzo as the guy after we failed to get Galvin?
I think we have some decent kids coming through but will still take 2-3 years for them playing to be comfortable and impactful. But we have Lorenzo as the 'one' but we're ready to have someone over him when they appeared.
well said fake midget, i swear some posters are never happy
