Ryles sweeping of the club has gone too far

Ryles seems to have gotten to carried away with his sweeping of the old in the club, seems Sparky and Sparkles have received their marching orders as well.13519604085?profile=RESIZE_710x

Bit of a weird way to introduce new person/eel hybrid of a mascot to a crowd already pissed with the change. I mean it could have been way worse but what was wrong with Sparky? Is he actually gone? If so i am in even more mourning than i was post the game. Can we march our way to the leagues club in protest chanting "SPARKY! SPARKY!"

  • Oh god! What are those abominations 😂

  • I really don't think Ryles would have a say in the mascots... some Marketing brain trust think tank would have said 'Eels are scary, we need to change our look'. Another swing and miss

Maybe they can charge fans for photos with them too...

    • I was joking Seraph.

      • Ah. Sorry mate

        • All good. When i wrote it i was like "Will people take this seriously? Maybe i should say it is not serious". Haha

  • This shows how out of touch head office is

    • I have a dilemma here, how do you tell a female and male Eel apart...... Carlo maybe able to tell us she has a pet eel she walks regularly?

      • If snake was here he could answer that

      • The females are slimey and the males can't win at footy

"He went to the Dragons ffs. They've made the finals once in ten years. That means every club in the game 'had the ability to get him'. They just needed to offer the most money. If we had offered the most we would've got him for sure."

"No it's because we're not a strong club. We've had a revolving door of board members, CEOs, general managers and coaches since 1986 and won nothing. 'Accepting mediocrity' hasn't been the problem. Market forces are what's held us back."

"We have better players than the Dragons, and finished well ahead of them on the ladder, so how can you say they are a more attractive club? They got Koloamatangi because they made the biggest offer, not because they are a more attractive destination."
