Looks like announcement will be made after State of Origin, don't know why, when the only other possibility Hannay is still in the running.

I had wondered if bellyache had actually recommitted there as yet, maybe ryles takes over and we get bellyache for a couple of seasons?

I think it is purely on Origin. Slater may want least amount of distraction possible, if Hannay announces it he will be mobbed with questions about Parramatta, same with players and Slater will get some questions about it.
I said a few weeks back I believe Hannay is already hired, just Origin is in the way of announcing it.
