* Hopeful of signing Volkman to a potential 2 year-deal
* Originally thought Paulo would go to the bears but "things have changed" and he could possibly stay
* Hints at changes internally which could affect recruitment
* Weidler questions him about if recruitment is too slow and Ryles responds saying that it has been a knock in the past but they are working hard to speed it up
* Looking for a centre and prop for 2027

Interesting on all accounts. Keeping Volkman as a back-up makes sense for Parra, so too having Junior mentoring the youngs forwards coming through.
hopefully the recuruitment issues can be sorted pretty soon so we can get cracking with some new key signings to fill gaps in the roster.
Well this absolutely slams the door shut on Sarantinos and people claiming he wasn't pushed, as Ryles stated we're now moving in the right direction internally, regarding recruitment and retention. He said theres stuff happening in management behind the scenes and we'll be a better club for it
Oh no , but Ploppa and his peer support worker, Michael W told us that's not the case.
Im sure Ploppas asking Michael what their next opinion is as we speak.
I think its checkmate now Wiz. Its an absolute resounding victory to the realists over the unicorn tribe, but there's no doubt that poppa is scrambling behind the scenes like a mad scientist to come up with some more bs.
Just waive the white flag and be done with it lol
Thinking about this one again and trying to get a handle on your confidence about Saratinos not being pushed or not.....I am not disagreeing with what you are saying but the expression of "slamming the door" on its correctness is not convincing to me......
I suppose its the way you interpret things and you must admit you do that badly but here is an alternative.
Ryles has overseen major player exits , but he has not publicly spoken about Sarantinos leaving as a "good thing." Instead, he has made comments framing departures as an "opportunity" he has historically applied this to players, signaling a complete roster and cultural reset.
I'm suggesting that Ryles would not admit to what you have interpreted him meaning.
Going further with this style, would you say Gutherson was tapped or made uncomfortable to stay. My personal view was he was ambivalent about it but fair and reasonably not going to give Guth a golden handshake......we all agree on that.....the CEO is very different, I think Ryles is too much a gentleman to imply criticism of Sarantinos, only look at the positives about change being a good thing.
mate you are wrong in this instance just accept it and move on we dont need your word salad to quantify anything or the paralysis of analysis ...ffs
I want to argue with you PG....but I am all word saladed out.....but you got pretty close which is good for you i.e paralysis of analysis....that's exactly what it was!
I have a question for you, Chief: who is more likely to be the infamous "BrissyEel", Michael W or Coryn Hughes 🤔🤔
Coryn is from and liives nz . He just calls it as it is. He was right long before I realised Sarantinos the rest of the people running the clubwere absolute novices, compared to the more successful clubs, and Ryles just confirmed that today when he mentioned the changes in management will improve our situation
Ryles has seen how top clubs in Roosters and Storm are run, and he knows what's needed. Now its being done
