Honestly the best scenario is him to have a "contract year". A motivated Matto is quite a handy player and he can cover prop, 13, backrow, bench and has the handling skills.
As people said as long as don't fall for it for another contract. But he's more than welcome to play if he's up for it, cause he is a good player when he wants to be. Then he can go to Perth or wherever.
I'd promise him a contract at years end if he performs and then change our mind and say , oh sorry mate.
