  • That's one depressing team

    • My god people say it every week, what did you expect?

      • Supporters expect some changes, and for the coach to give some young kids a go, especially when the team has been underperforming and poor form from some players. Maybe we'd all like to see Nanva, Teancum Brown and Talataina have a go.

Ryles looks like Brad Arthur 2.0

        • Ryles famously has never given kids a go.

        • You don't give kids ago in this situation, plus I don't think they can use them until round 11. I think we've already used up our dispensations.

        • Even with Nanva in its still an average team. Same if Brown was in. Just fact.

Im ok with how they are handling Talataina.

        • Already have some young players in there. Other than Kelly, Ado-Carr  Paulo, Debelin and Walker, most of the other players are pretty young. Saxon Prike finds himself playing NRL well before he expected to. Throwing them all in together is asking for trouble, and of course you need to consider their development as a priority.

          • Pryke is 22 this year. Not many NRL players debut later than that.

        • exactly. When the current squad is underperforming and it's obvious the Eels are not going to make finals this year the surely the coach should be trying some of the younger players who are possible future NRL top 30 players. He has nothing to lose and more to gain

        • Ryles said 2 weeks ago he would not rush kids in just for the sake of it.
