So Carty to make his debut this week, good on him.
I like the side. My only change would be swapping Lane and Papali'i. Papali'i is such a strong ball runner which would suit Dylan Browns game more. Also Lane keeps on having a couple of lazy moments each game. Perhaps he is not fit enough to play for 80min so a bench spot would be a better role for him. As it is both Lane and Papali'i cover the same positions.
I remember when Cartwright just got injured, BA said he was likely to be in the starting line up. So if Carty starts playing really well, will we see him take Lane's spot.
I wouldn't mind it. Despite Papali'i form where he could take a starting role, I think he provides more impact of the bench than Carty.
I know Will Smith had a good game against Cronulla but with Carty into the team I would rather drop Will and leave in Stone. Carty can play 6 if one of the halves go down and with Ray Stone being able to play 9 I just see it as a better option with being able to get more minutes out of the bench rather then have Will sitting there until the 78th minute. Stone's defence can change momentum in a game.
Yep. Playing Smith or Stone both have there big advtanges and disadvtantages. It is a very tight call. Personally, I like Smith over Stone for now. However, I think BA and everyone else will be able to make a clearer decision once a few games are played with this team list. Its only early days so it shouldn't cost us dearly.
I agree est_88, against Dragons we're going to need to be tough upfront. If Carty is in the team, I'd rather Stone in there Vs Smith
Good to Cartwright get a run in the top grade. Have a feeling he will get back to his best
The major worry is referee Atkins
Beating the Dragons won't be easy. I hope the Eels don't approach this game like the Broncos game. Dragons are much tougher this year.
Well lucky that the dragons are unbeaten in their last 3 and beating Newcastle quiet convincingly in Newcastle means we for sure know we cannot take them lightly
