Round 4 changes

Anyone believe there will be big changes? Matterson obviously comes in and Doorey and Murchie we are not sure about, more likely both out. Does Matterson go straight onto an edge? Or does he go to the bench as impact with Murchie out? If he goes to the bench, Momoisea and Mataele are the two options of who could come onto the right edge. I would give Toni Mataele his debut, with Momoisea yet to have a decent game for us so i wouldn't use him. Another change could Waqa moving to the wing and Simonsson out, perhaps Asi into the centres. Blake to the wing makes sense at this stage as we know he can score tries. Could see an extra forward on the bench with Ogden maybe getting the nod. But Mataele is he ready? Well only one way to find out when we are desperate.

  • Mataele is the future but not in the top 30 we might have to wait til round 10 to see that. I think matto starts on the edge if both murchie and doorey are out

    • We could get an exemption if both Murchie and Mataele are out, added with Lane.

  • I would actually start Momosiea, he hasn't had much of a chance to show his best yet. This is a good chance to see what he's got.

  • Some things to note

Dylan Brown in his presser today let slip Matto playing a middle.

Haze Dunster got through 80minutes in Reggies scoring a try making a line break, running for 92m.

Dajern Asi got through 80 minutes in Reggies scoring a try making two tackle breaks.

Josh Hodgson needs  a break mid game - JA ?

My take - nothing will change except Doorey out injured Knee - Materson takes his spot. Murchie head knock we will know more tomorrow after assessment.

    • If Matto is playing middle then Murchie would come in onto the edge wouldn't he?

    • playing matto as a middle off the bench worked well last season, he covers that middle 60 or so minutes when Jr and Reg are off the field and gives decent go forward.

Hopgood will probably start at 13, then go to edge when matto comes on.

Dunster will come in to wing and simmonsen will go to nsw cup.

Other changes will depend on fitness of doorey and murchie.

      • Dunster is a talent I just hope we don't rush him back. I think Hopgood showed last week he isn't quite yet an 80 minute middle. I'd even consider starting Matterson.
