One more game to go in what we can say is a vastly disappointed season compared to the highs we acheived in 2022 & the promise some had for 2023. Have enjoyed being the "Team List Guy" on 1EE & will be back next year to do it all again. Heres to hoping 2024 is a much better season for the team both on and off the field, Go Parra!

Why not give the young ones a taste? Its a dead rubber anyway
The young ones are too young. We should be focusing on winning the Jersey Flegg grand final and embedding a winning culture in the team. We beat the Roosters last week who are on top of the Jersey Flegg with a couple of the players in reserves. Penrith developed a winning culture by holding back these players until they learnt to win.
Yeah that's all well and good but you get to the stage where those in the top team have no accountability.
Penrith and others don't suddenly place all their young players into the top grade , they drip feed them and the lower cups solely exist to get NRL talent.
We consistently let players in the top team get away with sub standard performances and fall back to various excuses, like the replacements are too young or we don't have enough backs etc etc. it's all bulldust.
There is no way that Sivo and probably Simonsson deserved to add to their games this week, especially Sivo.
Damn I'd rather them put a bloody prop out on the wing and we get beaten by 100 if that's what it takes to show them that no one is safe in that team and you have to earn your place !
Someone was talking about the 90s the other day - now there was an Eels side that was devoid of talent but damn they had a go !
Some of these players are just taking the piss now.
Shits me that Hands is getting consistently dropped, he can't be the one to drop out, Id rather Carty at 6 and Hands at 14.
Hands has been great defensively for most of the year. We got pumped by the Broncos and I'm sure he wasn't the only one defending bad. I think he's our starting hooker moving forward with someone coming off the bench who likes to run the ball more.
Why do we need 3 middles on the bench who are all likely to get little game time
Three middle's is because the defensive structure is shite and fresh legs are needed to fill gaps behind the play the ball. This was evident in the Bronco's game where they targeted Jnr being lazy and carved up the guts.
The edge defence is a direct reflection of the backrowers needing to hold and not being able to man up one on one, therefore jamming in from the outside backs is the only way to try and shut down the opposition attack.
Is this the first Parra game Cummins is reffing this year?
