Lot of bench cover
Brown out injured hurts, I wonder if its the result of the missed crusher tackle by Chambers?? That tackle is being shown on almost every RL sites and the review committee have ignored it, two of those tackles and the one on Brown had his head pushed to the side and down. They could still cite him if they had any guts about them.
Have thought about this tackle by Chambers for a few days now, and its part of his make up as he's had penalties in the past, with Brown now out Chambers should get extra time off based on how long the player he tackled is out, also those types of tackles should be outlawed and I thought they were, but if they are then why not any player carrying out such a tackle keeps the rating against his name for a year and only reduced when they have a clear year of no such tackles.
Eels site says he's out for the season with Knee injury, a big blow for the eels and Browny.
Apparently its his knee, not his kneck (spelling is wrong but on purpose given the Chambers attempt to snap his head off)
Macy, the way the forwards are listed I am not too worried in fact having Peni at lock could work wonders for him as he adds so much power to his runs, even in a defeated team against the Storm he was up there with the best, this year has been his standout year and really showing what he can do, he's not huge but plays above his size and weight. He could be assigned the job to stop Toomalowlow. a big ask but he could very well handle it.
If Tim doesn't play that will hurt as he's been VG over the past couple of months, it will likely give Kaufusi another run on as replacement and after his stint last week he wont let the team down.
My big concerns are our centres especially MJ, its time he really stood up and showed his real game play and abilities that seem to have been taken by rip van wankle or something.
What'd you expect?
You're right Col, that is a blow.
We're under the pump now big time.
Kaufusi was given dispensation last week. With a fit Kane Evans and Tim Mannah the NRL won't give permission. Same reason King is on the bench and Stone is dropped. Unless either of Mannah or Evans fail their fitness tests later this week, Kaufusi won't play.
I think Stone was dropped because he can't pass a football.
