Sales figures of short lenghths of rope throughout hardware stores in the Parramatta district are now at record levels. Tim Smith ( a Trainee Assistant in Storage Logistics for Bunnings North Parramatta) has told The Daily Telecrap of how rope is now in short supply. " I don't know what it is but I know we're stuffed mate if the Eels have another loss tonight. We had like a hundred people off one fan site like come in last Monday after the flogging we copt by the Warriors. They nearly cleaned us right out. I'm down to my last roll. I tried to get some from the Mascot store and they said the Bulldogs fans had cleaned them out weeks ago so I don't know what we're gonna do. I just hope we win tonight is all "
The Daily Telecrap is still investigating the unexplained link between rope sales and the Parramatta Eels poor performances but a study of sales figures showed a similar pattern to those of last year where there was a sharp decline in sales from Mid July to late September 2009.

The way some people react to close losses, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
