After just one game with English Super League outfit Leigh, Kurt Baptise is on his way home to play with the Roosters.

He is pure dog shit on the park, i was in great fear we'd sign him a year or two ago, let them have him, he wont make them any better, only worse.

But one has to ask about their endless supply of cash.

  Do they really have that great a side? Their new signings Cronk and Tedesco would be on huge money plus Cordner would be on a good wicket. After that who else is there? Ferguson, Keary, Friend, Maria-Hargreaves would all be on decent coin, but no more than plenty of our players. And the bottom 20 players in their squad are absolute nobodies.

So does this mean that if someone becomes available between now and 30 June, the roosters can't play ball? Presumably Baptiste and Nuuasala are in their top 30 and I can't believe that they would have only listed 27 in their top 30 before signing these 2

  Raiders can’t keep their backup after Hodgson injured in WC and therefore under current NRL rules still have to include full salary in the cap and have to buy replacements adding to cap pressure. Chooks can afford Baptiste. The NRL is one totally screwed up competition
