Do they really have that great a side? Their new signings Cronk and Tedesco would be on huge money plus Cordner would be on a good wicket. After that who else is there? Ferguson, Keary, Friend, Maria-Hargreaves would all be on decent coin, but no more than plenty of our players. And the bottom 20 players in their squad are absolute nobodies.

Raiders can’t keep their backup after Hodgson injured in WC and therefore under current NRL rules still have to include full salary in the cap and have to buy replacements adding to cap pressure. Chooks can afford Baptiste. The NRL is one totally screwed up competition
