RIP Frankie Fong Super Hero Villain

It's a sad day for one of our finest contributors, the great Fong hung in until the bitter end.

Frankie has been on life support for a few months, yesterdays result was final nail in Frankie's coffin, the Fong is dead.

Parramatta success is like kryptonite to the Fong, any form of success weakened the Fong but our club's failures in many departments over the years kept the Fong powerful. The Fong had enough fuel to not only put the boot in, he didn't miss the opportunity to dismember, mutilate, run the Eels through a meat grinder and feed them to his dog. If that wasn't enough, he regularly used the Roosters logo as his avatar while claiming to be having regular sex with Nick Politis.

To his credit, his death rides were proven correct on many counts, he called Kearney an imposter, he called Ricky Stuart as an overrate, he called Steve Sharp and his board as being out their depth. History proved the Fong was right on the money. The Fong's life bar was in overdrive.

Tragically, the Fong has made a call to many. He went after BA to his detriment, despite BA technically guiding the Eels to a top 8 finish if not for the salary cap scandal in 2016, he dug his heals and stuck with his "bush coach" theme. He back fired again when he claimed the Eels had a poor a record against top 8 teams, the Eels have the best record against top 8 teams.

Stability at board level hurt the Fong, the Eels finishing top 4 has killed him. We could lose both games in the semis finals and the bush coach and his team would have still overachieved and the season will on record as a success.

RIP Fong, you will be fondly remembered, it's a shame it takes a disjointed board, a failing coach and team for you to contribute to this forum.

Big swipe Joseph, but there is truth in what you say. I don't know why FF was so much against BA as BA has done a great job without the rep stars the other top teams have. I don't think Franky will return in a hurry, if at all.
