Ricky Stuart thinking outside the box!

In an attempt to capatalise on the success of the Western Wanderers and think outside the box, Ricky Stuart has been in talks with various members of Australia's soccer fraternity.Stuart said he has been in talks with Socceroos Tim Cahill and Lucas Neil as potential signings.'Well lets face it, we need ways to get more penalties to even it out, and who's better at drawing penalties than soccer players' Stuart continued ' I know they probably wont have the hand eye coordination of NRL players, but then again neither does Jake Mullaney and he's our fullback when Hayne is unavailable'.

Stuart's plan may run into trouble however as it is reported that Ian Shubert is not in agreeance that the soccer duo's offer of 150,000 a season truly relfects their market value in league - 'Well you have to look at the fact that these players have attracted transfer fees in the millions in the past and I just dont think that it would be fair to the Roosters, I mean, other NRL clubs to allow this to happen'.

Fui Fui Moi Moi was contacted in regards to this but declined to make a statement.

  • With a blog like this you should be placed in the same box as the hulk in regards to not posting blogs

    • Ahh, was just to lighten the mood a little :)

    • That's not fair. There was an element of actual intelligence this blog. At first I was curious, then annoyed by another hoax blog. But then I read on and could not help but to feel a little smirk within to be fair.

    • A bit harsh there mate. This blog is quite funny.

Even Sinners isn't as bad as hulk.

      Keep em coming, beer baron

  • We should recruit Beckham, then, because then the Eels would also have a little spice.
  • wow, Cahill and Lucas in the eels colours. How cool is that? Ricky, should sign Adam Goodes up as well and Tippett from the Swans, while we're at it, maybe get Ricky Ponting in to be the left right out...great, knew Ricky had his head screwed on right. made my day with this blog. This should be the Blog of the Year

    • Thanks mate! Just glad people found it amusing :)

  • Mate u might have hit onto something. They don't have to tackle in the round ball game so there would probably be opportunities to swap some of the players around etc. We could accommodate them as outside backs where we don't expect players to tackle. Wow a new source of player recruitment. Mmmmm fancy having to catch a ball without incurring a handball penalty......

  • I hear we're signing a couple of Running Zombies up, and a few Crawlers...hope they're good...

  • Haha youre probably right, a line or two about Ben Roberts wouldnt have gone astray I suppose
