Remember last year?

Okay, we did well, played well and whathaveyah BUT we shouldn't get carried away. We have the Feather Dusters next week then Manly Fairies the next so two tough teams so lets not get carried away. I rather make judgement until the eighth round then we'll see how bloody well we're doing. I'm stoked we'd did well, especially with young Ma'u and the two wingers and Norman and Peats played well but we should wait. Remember last year we all went yay! RS is our saviour and blah blah and looked what happened, we got the f**king spoon. Soooooooo take a deep breath, let it out and go "okay, we won that round, lets' see if we can beat the Rorters..." who hasn't $BW (or SOB) for that match and Manly hasn't BS either but means squiddly squat...if we lose, don't go "sack BA" or "drop blah blah", it's still early days, eh? So stick it up them, Parra!

  • Yep Snapper lets see what happens over the next few weeks before we starting making plans come September!!

  • Oh crap. Here I was just making plans for the October long weekend and along comes Snapper and spoils my dreams.
    • Thats what I'm here for, Yobz, f**king up dreams...I killed the Sandman!

  • We've already got some members requesting the sacking of some players. But I'm already lining up for Grand Final tickets, who's with me?

  • Main difference from last year was attitude in defense last night. Last year we started badly but the warriors shut up shop once we put a few points on. The Warriors were ok last night in patches but our line speed and aggression in defense keep them out of the game. Challenge for BA is to now keep that attitude and determination going week in week out.
    • I agree. There was a set early second half when the warriors were trying to make it up field and were getting smashed. God I missed those days.

That set reminded me a little of the semi final in the late 90`s against North's.

  • I remember Parra being on top of the ladder this time last year.

    We are only 2nd atm!

  • We will go well this year, good things.
  • Yep, still not sold on our defense. The warriors weren't exactly on fire in attack and they managed to stretch our defensive line several times. In fact, they had plenty of opportunities to score if they took the right option when they had our defense stretched thin. And now Peats isn't playing. Not optimistic about our next game.

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
