RECRUITMENT

Seems like every week there are good quality players coming onto the market or that are available that would add something to our team and roster but we aren't seeming to be as active in the player market as we were earlier this year. EG Keon. Barnett

Has anyone heard anything or have any news on any potential signings for 2027 /2028 we may look at? I still believe there is the basis of a very good football side at the Eels but we defintely need 1 or 2 additions of quality players at the absolute least

  • I don't have anything that I'm across. However, the club doesn't leak signing information. So anything that hits the papers is being leaked by the player or their manager.

    • Thats probably a good thing to hear we are stopping leaking from our own 4 walls. Has happened way too often over the years.

Hopefully something is in the works

      • Yeah you don't want things like that leaked as you don't want opponents knowing your next move. I understand it's not 100% safe as managements can leak. But it is also to save face for organisations if they miss out.

        • Leak?  They have nothing to leak

          • 100% correct. We don't know how to sign a big name - we are a development club

          • Did Dylan Walker leak? Did Su'A leak? These signings came out of nowhere that's cause they don't leak.

            • i agree, the issue here seems to be more around people arent hearing Parramatta are active there for the assumption is that they arent.

      • But we can't have it both ways, there's another recent blog calling for transparency and accountability. I think some are just completely out of touch with reality.

        • It makes little sense to demand the club document publicly their every effort? Which clubs telescope their every interest? That seems like a recipe to show your hand as early as possible, which would lose almost every card game except lay down misere in 500, where the point is to lose every trick.

  • It wouldn't surprise if Sarantinos and O’Neill are on a 5 star Vegas familiarisation trip right now, rather than be hard at work fixing recruitment.

I can't say we played well after that basically handed the game to he Knights.
Whats worse is the Knights did there best to keep us in the game firing the ball around…"

"What's your point here? As Terrell states, he didn't sign because Penrith were sorting contracts for his brothers. Which ended up not eventuating and then the Penrith CEO torpedoed him returning to the club."
