It will become obvious over the next few weeks if that's the case. So what you're saying is that the person charged cannot be named until he is formally sentenced?

Just Googled it and the law was changed in Oct 23. So NRL can do what they have to.
Police Commissioner stated that no charges have been laid at present and the matter is still being investigated. These investigations could take some time. Unless something changed since he was interviewed, the matter is still ongoing, just no charges laid at this point in time. So if correct, they may still, or they may not, once finalised.
Don't really see why we should be so interested in this case, Jarryd Hayne has been in jail for 3 years and is awaiting his latest appeal.....I hope Chief was not defending him, no wonder the poor bastard is in strife.
Let's assume Hayne wasn't such a knob and when the girl told him she was bleeding he didn't write " see doctor " and wrote " ohh um I'm very sorry , how about tomorrow I drive up and take you to the doctors "
Would he still be in jail for rape ? I know if I was just raped I wouldn't be bothered texting my abuser to see what they thought about my injuries. It's no secret I have always thought Hayne was a complete fuckwit , even when he was the hero of the NRL world. But this case leaves me scratching my head.

Also why would he suggest to see a doctor? That's the last thing a rapist would suggest his victim do
"Pops i like these comments, in all honesty i don't know how you price him considering his age, and the fact he is co captain and he is on a very high salary right now.
"
"I am not sure why people are desperate for signings here.
By all means we are going for Keoan it seems. Only someone like him or the likes of Haas/Tino can really add to our forwards.
We need a backup at the backs but those can be signed anytime…"

Is that your legal opinion Shirlock?..... you have no fcking idea....... (meant for Chief by the way)
You will blow a gasket sir with that gush of fury and vitriol. Be at peace.
Reminder that this is an allegation at this stage. The player hasn't been identified, please refrain from speculation.
Just announced on radio in Brisbane no charges being laid.
Nothing to see here so seems someone has been paid off.
