TALENTED utility back Jordan Rankin is set to play out the rest of the season with Parramatta.
At 28, Rankin - who was the third-youngest player to debut in the NRL in 2008 - will add depth and experience to the Eels.
The former Gold Coast Titan and Wests Tiger can play just about anywhere in the backline and will be a handy addition to the Eels' ranks.
Rankin went to England with Huddersfield in 2017 but has spent the past 12 months with Castleford.
But with Super League still in limbo, he was granted a release to come home closer to his parents on compassionate grounds.
"I'm disappointed to be cutting my time short here in the UK but my family comes first and that's always been first and foremost for me," Rankin said last month.
"I want to thank both clubs for giving me the opportunity to play, to play in Super League and I've really enjoyed it – my time at Cas especially.

Moneyball BA strikes again
Sounds a bit Rankin to me! So long as he does try to pull Rank, he might be ok! Don't know much about this fella.

Backup Fullback?
Hit the nail on the head....Gutho may be carrying a injury?
We released Parry, open slot in the squad and we need a backup. I don't think it's because Gutho is carrying an injury.
Hope you are correct. Truly do!
Stop speculating & taking the bait for all the rumours online. Gutho is fine, he's not injured, he's not carrying one, he's not the slightest bit injured.
I live on the GC and he did nothing while at the titans. Never lived up to the hype they had on him as a kid when he started. I think id preffer Field as he has speed
This guy is barely a reserve grader
