I have had, like everyone, my fair share of run ins with Poppa. Though he does carry one similarity and that is a love for Parramatta and that is good enough by me. No denying he knows more about the game than some i have seen here.
Oh yeah LB, there is no denying he loves Parra, and he also loves rubbing folks fur the wrong way. Repeatedly...That's gonna get you varying responses, Like from "Fuck Off" to "Fuck You" and everything in between..All styles of response to him are valid because he actively seeks it out....I have dragged him, slagged,him, mocked him, cocked him, hocked him and generally made him look lke a twat countless times but goddammit if he don't come back begging for another round. Give him both barrels, reload, two more, then again and he will whine, deny, abuse, delete gaslight, bitch and backchannel then let it settle then come back for more.
Poppa is NOT a blight on the site. He is literally part of the vibe and fabric of 1EE, and folks smacking him around is part of it. He actually has admirably thick skin over time.. If Poppa stopped posting the site would be the poorer for it.
If we didn't have people who disagree this would be boring place to be. You and i Randy had a massive back and forth a few years ago, but we are man enough to move on and respect each other enough to know it was a debate and we are at the point where we disagree and agree. You can disagree and debate, just be a human being after the fact.
I have been guilty myself of getting nasty after a debate and usually always regret it after. We are human. People here troll for sake of it and abuse Poppa but i like him being here, he adds different type of response to certain things.
LB, I would have added that you too are a part of the fabric and general vibe here, but everyone knows that already...with ploppa it's not so obvious to folks what actually he brings to the table. They think he stinks up the place and wrecks it....but he doesn't wreck it,,,,he just stinks it up in his own way...like an offbrand chanel parfum

I would rather him, even if i disagree more often, then someone who is overly reactionary and/or trolling. Yeah i trolled with the Hock post but more for a laugh as opposed to some who say dumb things to garner a reaction

Well I left Sydney (North Rocks) in 1980.
Still support NSW in Cricket and Football and of course I am rusted on Parra, my sons have played for Qld in Rugby and Cricket, so I did support Qld at times. One of them played for Australia on numerous occasions.
Cane Toad doesn't worry me but people who know me understand I am a "cockaroach at heart"....some people may say I am just a "cock" . Mind you people say Qlder's have two heads, many one eyed eels supporters would wish they did as well when you see some of the dunces on here!
Amazingly I am actually a "truth seeker" and will deliberately draw out debate to clear a view that I think could be represented better. I upset LB on occasions doing that, but he is a good person to draw out, he is capable of seeing other opinions. Many on here really do pass for being "one eyed" with limited ability to get past their "myopia".
