"It is a mixture. But saying MON is the reason for Pezet is farcical. Ryles would have wanted it and MON got it done. That is practically MON's job. Same with GM's in other sports. Get an idea of what the coach wants, goes out and gets the best he…"
"Might be a with a new coach. If Brisbane miss the 8 or scrape in i reckon they yeet Madge. It would be ridiculous but can see it happening.
So could have a brand new coach there for him lol."

Yes they won away from home, but against a quality team we would of lost by 20+. DeGois done his job but we need Peats back as he is 100times better. DeGois is a great back up but we need better in fg. Gower is proving to be a good buy and hopefully he will resign. Faraimo is improving and has done as well as the rest of the wingers, better than others. yes Terepo's hands are a worry, Paulo is crap and the sooner he goes the better off the club will be. Yes happy with the improved effort and with a few adjustments we should do better next year.
"Everything else this year is now a bonus. To be in the finals race at this time of year has to make all Eels fans happy"
Amen to that!
The factor you have to add to the equation is, are people ready to be disappointed as well?
I know I am,you have to be!
I reckon given the heat Pauli and Fui were rested for this match to keep them fit for the next game. The Dogs pack is far better than the Raiders and if we have Pauli, Fui, and Moeroa all fit and firing against them we'll go well.
Hopefully Ma'u is ready for the game too.
I have mixed thoughts at this stage of our turnaround.
Overall, I'm still apprehensive that regardless of the obvious improvements to our coaching staff & management, & the partial regeneration of the playing squad, we r still in essence a one man show. As things now stand, for Parra to be competitive we need the team to step up to the plate & Hayne to fire up. Its not the same as having a competitive team with Hayne as the additional x factor. Currently if Hayne does not hit the on switch, the team seems incapable of winning.
Yes, BA has done a terrific job in achieving this level of turnaround in one season but he is still a rookie FG coach in his first season as a FG coach so it will be interesting to see if he can maintain the current standard in the future. Also IMO, some credit probably is due to DA's involvement behind the scenes & if I'm correct then its to his credit that he keeps a low profile.
I fully agree with your last paragraph. U have summed up our current situation nicely.
Regarding players, very impressed with the performances of most of the young guns, Peats, DEGois & Gower. I'm also impressed with how Sandow has turned his situation around, his performances this year have generally been very good. As to whether he is the long term HB for the team, only BA/DA can answer.
Conversely, I'm disappointed with the performances of Norman & Lussick. I was looking forward to Normans impact in the team & whilst he appears to be both adequate & competent, IMO he just doesn't add any real sparkle to our attack. Lussick on the other hand, was IMO our best forward last year yet this year, even allowing for injury downtime etc, he barely makes a contribution when he is on the park.
Hoppa seems to be coming along steadily. He made SOO after a year hiatus so that speaks for itself. From a team perspective, IMO he isn't worth the sort of money that has been bandied around but that is another matter & we have him under contract until 2015 anyway so I suppose all we can do is just make the most of it.
Finally, with quite a number of players off contract 2014 opens up the opportunity to further rebuild.
Hayne worked his ass off and Sandow too, great to see from Chrissy.
Gower is definately one of the buys of the year. Can hit it up and ball play.
Faraimo is a good reserve grade winger, that is all. We need Sio back in the team if he is fit.
The curious case of Ryan Morgan. He seems to be a good runner, but does he need to bulk up? And if he did would it stifle his running game?
Terepo needs to put glue on his hands. I think he could bulk up a bit more too. Runs hard but doesn't bend the line.
Lussick needs to be in reserve grade. Offers nothing. Such a disappointment this year.
Ben Smith's experience and defence is good is it enough to warrant a spot?
I will be stoked if we make the finals. They're nearly there.
