Question on Rule

In the dying minutes of the Tits- Raiders game, Hurrell scores with 2.30 sec to go. After the video review, Mick Gordon took a day and an age to take the kick. Lining it up, pacing back, scratching his nose, wiping the sweat of his forehead, then he re-adjusts his nuts, then looks back, looks at the scoreboard, take 3 deep breathes and belts it over with 10 seconds to go. The refs never even told him to get on with it although the clock was ticking down. He could have probably taken a shower and come back to take the kick.

Isnt time supposed to stop for non-play in the last 5 mins?

    • That's farked then. How can there be no pressure to take your conversion in a set amount of time??? There defo should be a shot clock for a convsersion or penalty kick.

  • What shits me is they always bang on about trying to get more footy in the 80 mins by having time limits on things like that and scrums etc but the clock continues to run while the video refs try and work out what they want to do, sometimes that goes on for 2-3 mins and after they have come to a decision we have to wait for this stupid 10 second video of someones hands before saying TRY or NO TRY

    • Agreed mate. There would be alot more action if they froze the clock in those situations as well as goal kicking. What happend at the Titans game pissed me off for the game.

    • I think they are supposed to stop the clock after 90 seconds or something. It's rediculous that a goal kicker can end the game by wasting the last 2 minutes kicking for goal. There should be a 30 second limit. If they haven't kicked by then they don't get the points. Otherwise just stop the clock until he kicks the ball.

"Same, Kurupt. Whatever the outcome, Jim, Beach, Ryles and the club stood united and stood their ground when they were meant to roll over for the Storm and PLV, discreetly. Moses SC has also been brilliant."
