    McCracken , Pay , Smith ,and Dymock were a result of the super league war. Probally the best signings we've made in two decades. But I'm talking about buying one of the best players in the comp. I know all four were good players but I'm talking an Inglis, lockyer, Johns, Thurston, C Smith, Fittler.We never seem to be Inthe hunt.

  You could pretty much ask that of any club. There have only been a handful of rep signings of any club that have gone on to bigger and better things.
  Some of the big signings who have done well include Inglis, jennings, Bird.
  look at the failures though Dave Taylor, Barba, Tonga, Boyd, Hannant.
  
  There are only a Handful of genuine superstars in the game and they are mostly homegrown

  You could argue after just winning a comp and being rep players McCracken pay and smith would be. Timana tahu was a automatic selection for nsw when we signed him first time.

  Justin Poore was a rep player when we signed him. We all thought he'd be good. He just failed to deliver.

  The end of 2004 was the last time this was done successfully after missing the finals for a 2nd straight year. BS bought in Riddell, Tahu, Morrison, Marsh and we won the minor premiership the following year .
