Quade Cooper in talks with Eels

QUADE Cooper has held secret negotiations with the Parramatta Eels as the Wallabies star weighs up a shock defection to the NRL.

In a bombshell that will rock the Australian Rugby Union, Cooper is contemplating walking out on the code at season's end after his management flew to Sydney last week for talks with Eels boss Paul Osborne.

  • This bloke is a genius and would fit in perfectly.
  • had a great year at the reds this year
  • Cooper would be as good as Benji. He is made for NRL. A brilliant passing game. Hayne would find more holes than ever.

He would be a better signing than Cronk !!! But I would predict no result as he will play the RWC in 2011 and maybe then look to move to the NRL.

Rugby is the most boring game of all time and backs of his quality never get to shine.
  • I would love it if this happens but it is highly unlikely with the RWC next year but if it somehow did he will be playing rep footy within 2 years.
  • plus he would want alot of cash, parra is a circus a new halfback name everyweek plus cooper is gunna help morts? parra have no idea what they want, who's next weeks pick, this must shatter the halfs confidence every week, tony zappia for no 7
  • My initial reaction is "f#ck yeah"! (I would also like to say I posted that the Eels should chase him about 3 months ago!!!!!!)... However, he could turn into a half-a-mill a season fizzer!
  • I travel to watch Wallabies as my mates are all Rah Rah boys, can tell you Cooper is a natural! you can't coach what he has, great hands the thought of Jarryd running off him is salivating. But he is a natural/ traditional 5/8.
  • Interesting, that's for sure.
It'd be quite the coup if it were to go ahead.
  • Is there anyone out there who knows how to tie their own boot laces that we are NOT supposed to be chasing?

Will Genia is a halfback - so why don't we approach him as well just in case Quade decides to honour his public commitment to "repay" Union for sticking by him in his time of troubles.

Another = yeah, yeah - sure, sure.
  • Mortimer, he will come good next year.
