Pricey comments good or bad?

Ok, during the week Pricey came out and gave the team a rev up. Only a handful of people including myself had the opinion that although we agree with his comments, as a board member, he should not be making public statements like that.

Now he has come out bagging the coach. I wonder what you all think of this? Again, i feel his comments are inappropriate considering his position in the club. What happens if we can win our next 3 and sneak into the 8 and have a crack at the title again?

Pricey, i love you and respect you, but these comments have to stop!! You got rid of Fitzy to stop all the BS and now it appears you are the one starting drama

The fact is, DA got parra to a GF in his first year only to be beaten by an illegally assembled team. In my opinion, this has earnt him the right to see out his contract, even if we don't make the 8 this year.

  • Yes ....Pricey is a Parra legend great...but a diplomat he is not....
  • Price needs to learn to shut his mouth with the position he carries.
  • I totally agree Fiddy, I love Price but he needs some public relations/media training now.

We should only be concentrating on the games at the moment.
  • Ahhh, it's a storm in the tea cup. What power does Price's board yield ?

It's just Price being Price. It's great for the media and probably more annoyance value for DA & Ossie's crew than anything. Ozzie, the operator might even use it to his advantage later.

Whilst i agree with some of Price's opinions, to put them out publically is one kiss to the death of Price's poltical career, especially in the case DA being retained only the spectre of Price's legend and his no holes barred approach may soften people's judgement.

Fiddy, do you really need to ask the 'good' or 'bad' question ? Just look at all the DA support blogs popping out. These kind of things are determined by what is popularly accepted - right now.
  • Comments like his are crazy at this time. We are trying to make the finals FFS so why would you try to de-motivate the coach by saying his decisions are "dodgy". Back in your box Ray! Make all the comments you want after the season finishes!
  • Pricey s from the Mark Geyer school of etiquet.Engage mouth then brain.Though I would nt mind em using Sterlo as a mentor to the team.
  • Good post Muttman.
  • I read pretty much everything on Parra.

The headlines will often quote price, but i never read any further.

Whatever he has said this time, I'm sure it is short sighted and wrong.

Brett Kenny is another who usually get's it wrong although his comments are not as inflamatory.

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "

"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"
