Anyone catch the tail end of the presser? Jounro is asking for Jason opinion on the No try - the clown is trying to get Jason to say it was tough call - Jason doesn't buy into that line of questioning and tells him its a knock on every day of week. Finally a coach that speak his mind and doesn't play the diplomate.

Correct , for us to have to challenge and win numerous times , shows that the officials are totally incompetent and / or corrupted in the sense of having a desired outcome in their heads. If it were equally as bad you could simply say the referees just had shockers , but it wasn't . The one on our goaline where they called interference was so blatantly wrong , I have no idea how the referee and touchie could penalise us in the first place. Imagine we didn't have a challenge to use , that's game deciding stuff over such a poor call. Heaven forbid we were playing for a top 8 spot .
Id actually drop my referee for getting out challenged on what 3 or 4 occasions ? I'd like to see referees have a points rating system , like losing points on your licence. Every Monday the referees boss should make a public ruling on incidents and referees being docked( or given) a point for each particular incident. If it's a 50/50 call he got wrong , so be it the refs boss can rule to overlook it as " one of those things " but blatant bullshit errors then that touchie gets docked a point.
If they wish to Improve this game and get fans back onside then the referees need to be started to be held accountable. This referees organisation are like the fucking government , zero accountability.
I like that idea of the ref rating systems. They have player ratings off stats, that's no difference.
Also made me think, without the bunker we loose that game and the Warriors didn't deserve to go away with 2 points- against all the odds including the ref Ryles and 17 got the job done, great win. Does Annselley still do a breakdown of the round? That ref should be sacked.
I like it wiz, but is there any point given that the next tier down of ref "talent" is even dogshittier.
I guess it depends on how you build it . End of season bonus's and picking up higher profile games to officiate would incentivise the referees to do better. The better referees should have the potential for increased earnings.
Could the next tier be any worse than the dopes refereeing the other night ? Rules are rules , they don't change from game to game , all that changes is the referee's interpretation of them. Hence why I beleive these guys set out with a script in their heads .
I agree on the scripting, but the nrl hobnobs will pass that expectation onto the next crop anyway, thereby fucking their brains as well.
They would give the bonus to the one who hides the scripting best.
You are absolutely correct that some successful challenges should be publicised as a ref fail metric
"Call me a conspiracy theorist" I'm not calling you that Tank , we witnessed a incompetent ref trying his best to change the outcome of the game.
Absolutely love it, shows coach and captain are on the same page
Agree Stevo, Moses didn't take a backward step either
Nice change
No he did not at all, he knows he had the backing of the coach
