I'd like to know who fans an one eyed eelers believe may have big seasons next year?Of course there is Foran and we should all expect a big year from him but which other players, maybe some a bit unexpected?I'll put my neck on the chopping block and go with -1. Manu Ma'u2. Kenny Edwards.3. Folau.I think next year is make or break for Folau and he HAS TO do big things and he just might?Ma'u running on the edges hitting Foran passes, a half who regularly and quickly hits the line will suit Manu's game perfectly and I expect Manu too prosper.Kenny Edwards had too sit out an entire season and should be fresh and ready to rip in. I think the chance to play with Scott, Watmough and Wicks will help his game as well?Your picks?

    Not!
  • 1: M Cornish
    2: K Tangnoia
    3: J Folou

BA will get the best out of Cornish he will play some first grade next year. Tangnoia to improve, Folou with some first grade experience will only get better.
  • I wouldnt have thought manu or Edwards would surprise both are quality players expected to play well, there will be no surprise when they do.

Folau wont get a run barring a massive injury toll.

    • Edwards won't have played for 18 months and hasn't shown us all he has ever...yet.
Ma'u played well this year but with some top quality delivery, I believe he can take his footy to a whole new level.
Folau is my long shot to show us what he has. There will be plenty of competition for a centre or wing spot and he needs a massive off season to even get a look in. I believe he may just prove a few wrong?
  • The Polar Bear, he'll tear the other packs apart. He'll be a hell of a surprise!

    • I'm with you here Monster. His introduction to NRL was a frustrating one being given such little game time and therefore no opportunity. When he was finally given a proper crack, he was terrific. His attitude was fantastic despite what must have been a disappointing intro. If he carries those last couple of games in 2015 into 2016 we have a winner for sure.
  • Gutherson. Manly had big wraps on him at the start of the year, and injury jolted that. Most were shocked when he was told he could look elsewhere and I believe having ex manly players at the Eels will make it easier for him to fit in quickly.

If he can stay injury free, I think he could surprise.

Edwards. We missed him so much this year. Yes he does some dumb things off the field but on the field he not only runs hard like Mau, he runs into gaps and has a great offload. We really missed the offload this year. Choc tried to do it but made too many mistakes. We need a fit and firing Ken and even though we know he's good, the surprise might come from us forgetting how good he was.

Norman. I'm hoping for a 3rd level from him now that he's established and with Foran taking pressure off him, his running and passing game will hopefully go to another level. If he does, that will surprise everyone.
    • Gutherson too be announced next Tuesday I'm hearing?
Why next Tuesday I'm not sure? I thought they would wait until training.
  • 1. Beau Scott- Everyone is bagging the signing of Beau Scott; saying he'll be another 'Watmough signing' (even though Watmough wasn't even that bad this year). I think we'll find Scott's signing will be just as or nearly as important as Foran's. Our middle edge defence will improve rapidly and we'll have another forwards leader to hopefully stiffen up what I think will be one of the league's best foward packs within a year or two.
    2. Scott Schulte- I think this guy will be a smokey for our vacant wing position. He's tall, knows how to find the line, and from what I've heard, has a good footy brain.
    3. Kenny Edwards- We will realise how much we missed Kenny in 2015. He will be another hard runner in our forward pack and I think he'll add that x-factor when it comes to offloads and just finding the right attacking option.

But seriously, most of our players have shown at least glimpses of what fans should be seeing week in week out. I'd be surprised if the following guys at least showed consistency in performance every week.

    Pauli, Fench and Moeroa.

Yep they are all young and have the ability to be anything. Now they have to bring it every week even if it's playing for Wenty.

"Cheers LB. I just can't go past him, the only 5/8 on that list to play for Australia and multiple times, back in the 2000's he was one of our best players, i'd say he could even be second to the great Brett Kenny for us."

Ok so going through these rapid fire, particularly this one as this i reckon would be 100% for one player. I did some Halfbacks to make it respectful but not many to choose from.Dylan Brown won the vote at 6.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HGCBD291.…

"All good Hector. The likes of Grothe, Price, Kenny, Sterling etc. would make it that up to 4 surveys are null and void as we know who they are. "
