There's and old but well known biblical standard called "he who is without sin throw the first stone".
Frankly, the only sin Josh Addo-Carr was guilty of it driving a car.
But even then, some sort of mitigation could be/is involved.
I have done some research that whilst cocaine supposedly goes through your system in 24 hours, in some cases it can take a few days.i.e very small traces
An example would be lets say in JAC's case, he thought he was ok to drive because he was 24 hours plus when deciding to drive, now we know that many drivers have gone for alcohol when tested up to 24 hours after drinking and actually being perfectly fine to drive, ok a line has to be drawn and cocaine is illegal and alcohol is not....BUT the consequence's of driving intoxicated are mutual.
One thing should be noted here is that Alcohol has a tolerance level .05 and cocaine has none, the degree of error is irrelevant from the system perspective but not when a person's whole career is in jeopardy.
We had a driving incident with Mam from Broncos that was much more serious than JAC's offence.
I would like to think that JAC will get the usual disqualification and fine that applies from a public prosecution. JAC was on holidays and as such the NRL does not need to get involved given that normal public justice prevails. This of course won't happen for the reasons outlined here.
Bringing the game and club into disrepute is an issue that has to be addressed, notwithstanding it is only a minor issue and all recommendations for his health, the club and the game have been identified and acted on, with the exception of meeting a perception. Anyone reading this can create their own perception, I am only interested in the perception of keeping JAC an Eel.
The NRL officially has a drug testing process/programme in place, these tests are done whilst players are in training and before a game. It is interesting to note that no one seemingly gets caught, WHY? because the NRL structure the tests so to avoid catching players out. The last thing the NRL wants is half the competition players out for a drug offence that is used across the whole of society or at least a spectrum of high performance people and athletes.....The Hipocrisy is rabid and the NRL will need to make some example of JAC to be seen in the right light......
Ilongi is a young Parra player, every one knows the white powder he was cutting was not talcum, the example that young players will be influenced by JAC is not encouraged or denied.But also incurable in our society.
Lets hope they make it so no one suffers' from the hipocrisy for any great length of time.
PS I hate and deplore political correctness, especially salving the ego's of Hipocrits!

what's a doobie? you mean to say that wasn't cocaine, I'd believe you btw......I had a mariwana ? cigarette once, that as close I have been...... I smoke on Tuesdays and Saturdays.....the doctors look at me sideways when i tell them that and ask why would I bother....i explain that those are the days I drink as well......

I am an old man, my experience is that when we as human being’s can’t/ don’t forgive minor indescretions, then humanity can easily get lost, as it does regularly.
This is a minor descretion, how do I know that?….. by the way the courts shall treat it!
The only real fault from a society’s point of view was he was driving a vehicle, this process is tested and punished under the judicial system.
This discussion is what else his employer’s will do to punish him ?

JAC as a player is a role model to the game, team mates, other players and kids adore him, lets not treat these people as fools by saying “look at the example” he is setting.
Well every second player say’s fcuk when something goes wrong, do you think the kids don’t know without being experts in “lip reading”. We watch it on TV every week and turn a blind eye when someone ask’s “what did he say”.
Animals like Latrell Mitchel (probably the most skilful player in the whole game) behaves like only he can, Cody Walker is not much better, you then have to have a close look at whose is actually in the “mud pit” with these guys.There are immortals annointed and some yet to be, who are all guilty.
The NRL will not make a life ban. They cannot be that hippocritical because the way they test the players is such that tell them they are coming!
Why do you think the NRL makes no convictions and the police pick up players in random tests?
I am not interested in the clubs reputation, its not any different to any other club. I would say that apart from our playing ability, Parramatta is a perfectly behaved club…….subsequent from the 2014 shenagains and the action we took to fix it!
So if anyone wants to cut JAC and live with it, ask them how many of them who have no indescretions should/can throw the first stones……
I fight for my club and I will fight for decent people like JAC or anyone compared to his situation, not because he is a good player and Parra needs him but because he is a DECENT MAN with no more faults than other decent men we have supported.
Shit I even defended Fergo who had more descretions than the average Johnny, but he behaved pretty well at Parra from where I sat.
