Nick Politis is poised to step down as Roosters chairman after completing one last masterpiece - the signing of Storm superstar Cooper Cronk. One of the richest men in Australia, Politis has been associated with the Roosters since the mid-1970s, when his company, City Ford, became the first corporation to sponsor a team. Now in his mid-70s, Politis has been boss of the Roosters since 1993 and now spends much of his time in his family homeland of Greece. The multi-millionaire played a huge role in luring Sonny Bill Williams to the Roosters in 2013 - a major factor in the club winning the premiership. He has poured countless dollars into the club over the years but those close to him tell me he is now ready to step aside and enjoy a less hectic lifestyle.Cronk completed his medical with the Roosters last week and his signing is expected days after the Kangaroos start their World Cup campaign against England tonight.

  • It's the same with the sonny bill situation.Roosters new they would be over the cap yet still signed him.
  • Image result for nothing to see here meme

  • This could mean that the Roosters access to TPAs will increase...
    • Good point! Reckon you would be spot on.
  • so the roosters replace  a high price player mr trouble , with a clean skin cooper cronk  , and the story finishes full of roses for the club, tara and cooper.

if only all movies end like that.

win a comp, nick ends hes rooster days in glory, the coach wins the coach of the year, all the roosters players are over the moon with joy.

remember the finish top 2 this year with mr troubles and no cooper,  we will see how this story ends ,later no doubt.

the nrl , nick, cooper manager and the roosters, have did a huge con with the media on this story...

    • Robert, it doesn't exactly finish full of roses for the people keeping this game alive though?
  • I thought todd was on all fours when it comes to politis
