Bellamy or the Storm culture. Something is awesome over there. We have BA. He worked there. And slowly building same thing with us. Turning average players into superstars. Brown. One of them
Tohu Harris played but got injured during the match.
By the Harris got off we were already up 16-0.
True cameron smith is a forward but you get what im trying to say.
I also thought Brodie Croft was their best that night especially the way he managed to keep getting repeat sets with his kicking game so that might have evened out cronks absence.
Obviously Cameron Smith is the key to their side with his incredible foresight.
The one who scares me most is Slater!
The way he returns the ball and his positioning when he's close to the tryline has always been an art that no other fullback has ever come close to the way billy has consistently done it.
After all im just trying to be as optimistic as possible seeing as though no one thinks we stand a chance.
Rd 18 we beat them in Melbourne...without their 9.
Saturday he'll be there making them much more dangerous.
To have any chance, we have to do things fast....and use short passing instead of going for the line one out.
If we can keep them off balance we might just get a win. We've got to be strong for entire game and not clock off.
We like being in the under-dog role.
I tend to agree in that match up we'd be superior in about 9 or 10/17
however storms (and QLD for that matter) has shown that they only need the big 3 to be on their game and the whole team follows suit
Great optimism Raid but realistically the Storm match up more than adequately and the one big factor you forgot to include was the cohesion through the team and spine in particular that the Storm have.
I was in Melbourne to see the 2nd round clash against a very weakened Storm squad. We got the jump on them well to lead 16 -0 and all was looking good to put a real score on them and then Bellamy got to his team at half time and they competed like for like set for set in the 2nd half.
The Storm are a class outfit, but it's a 2 horse race and anything can happen. Hopefully BA with the help of Corey & Mitch have a few tricks shots they will throw at the Storm to try and put them off there game and he also have a plan to protect our weakness at fullback and one wing spot.
