Phil Gould is a Muppet

Listening to him commentating the allstars match tonight has reaffirmed my hatred for the man.  He is absolutely obsessed with Ben barba (who has only been in the game to follow kicks or profit of bird and Thurston). He is the most infuriating man who makes the dumbest comments in the world whilst commentating, I am so glad we did not hire him. Thurston and bird are the reason for the allstars success, barba has just been in the right place at the right time. But even on other matters he's a tool, he obviously understand the rules of the game but has no sense of objectivity, the most biased and thickheaded commentator I've ever heard. What a Muppet.

  • Man, I like the muppets...you're insulting Kermit and Fuzzy the Bear by comparing them to Gould the fool

    • True, but he is still ridiculous

  • I hate his long rants before SOO matches the most.

He reminds me of Alan Jones. Maybe he can go get a job on AM radio so I wouldn't have to listen to him (except in taxis - why do they always listen to that talkback drivel?)
    • Luckily in taxi's you can ask to change station. When watching football its obligatory.

    • See if you can name these Roy & HG nicknamed players
Datsun 180B man (too many options)
      Salt n Vinegar etc
      The penalty puller
      The unmade bed
    • The coughdrop
      Doctor's feet
      Adolf
      The nudist
      Tim tam
      The Brains Trust
      The Ungrateful Head
      The poo in the shoe

Ahh bringing back the memories Donnsta
  • Do what I do during the cricket. Mute the Channel Nine muppets and put on the ABC Radio coverage. Always more entertaining and I don't have to listen to the inane comments of Mark Taylor and Ian Healy.

    • LOL I just have the mute on and watch it in silence...or just don't watch cricket...like 10cc said: I don't like cricket...no no no...

  • So channel 9 now has,

    Muppet

    Rabbits

    Snorky

    Waldo &

    Smackhead

    • hahahah very good.
