So typical, parra are after a gun player it drags on and on suddenly broncos enter the race yesterday boom they get their man. Buckets o'neil must have some mud on the club to be able to keep his job. He simply can't get these signings over the line
Either that, or Brisbane have been in discussions with him for some time.
I'm prepared to back Ryles on this one. He hasn't made too many wrong decisions so far, and I'm sure he's been across this signing. Unlike fans on here, he seems to have a plan for the long term.
Unlike some fans here, why doesn't he just go with Lorenzo or Joash for 2026 then? Wouldn't that be better? Difference between Pezet and Lorenzo is 18 NRL games.
I couldn't be bothered going through all the initial pages of fist waving bullshit that has become synonymous with this forum - and apologies if somebody has already said it - but I think this is quite astute from the club.
Pezet is an organising halfback. We have an organising halfback. It is telling that Pezet only comes in for Jerome Hughes, never for Munster, the Storm prefering Wishart for the replacement five-eigth role. I think if we're all being fair dinkum, Joash really isn't the answer - at least not yet - and from all reports, Lorenzo is going to be a gun in a year or two's time.
So, why not bring in a quality, proven playmaker for a year whilst Joash and Lorenzo continue to develop. Who knows - there might be an option that opens up next year that more closely aligns with what we need as a club!
