It is not so much we only have Pezet for a year, it is why are we helping Brisbane for nothing really. Pezet does not do much for our club in 2026 only having 18 games experience. I would rather blood a rookie and fast track his development.
The only way i see benefit in this deal is if we get a quality Brisbane player in 2027.
Need to give Moses at least a capable nrl half partner. When he needs time off for the usual injury or origin selection we have the depth to adjust. The one year is annoying but it gives our squad the best chance of doing something.

Next year we aren't winning it what we want is best improvement from guys that are going to be here in 3-4 years time that's our timeline.2026 isn't the year Parra end the drought so what's the point in the move.
Planning for Moses being injured and SoO duties man I'd just keep going with Hawkins and co.
For what one year? When Pezet leaves in 2027 you have the issue in 2027 anyway? You are pretty much delaying the inevitable if the plan is Lorenzo.
Doing what? It hinders Moses as he has one year with Pezet, then he starts again in 2027 with a new 5/8, more likely a rookie one. They should pick the future 5/8 now. If you cannot get Pezet long term, then just bite the bullet with Joash and if he is not the answer Lorenzo can slowly make his way in or just throw Lorenzo in.
LB, I've seen a bit of Lorenzo. He is not anywhere near physical as a young Hayne or Inglis were and will simply get monstered when playing against men. That would very likely do more harm to his development than good.
He's a year off but will probably get a few opportunities off the bench at the back end of the season to get a taste.
The one point I will concede is that if Pezet improves his football next year and gets us competing at the pointy end of the season (which I'm assuming we want, although some folks on here make me wonder), that will be of benefit to the Broncos.

why would I support this, we can buy a forward. Yet we signed this guy for a year to do fuck all and carry his knowledge that he learnt from Moses to Broncos yeah bro I'm gonna support a big club that treats things as a school. This is not a school were a big club, we either play Lorenzo now to learn or we don't. Learn nothing in cup.

You'll destroy Lorenzo body and confidence throwing him straight in. Needs time to get nsw cup down then in 2027 you are ready to roll.

Mate Dylan brown played NRL at 18 it boosted his confidence, If hes not ready now he'll never be ready.
"You obviously did not understand what I said, nothing I have said belies the statement you incorrectly quote.
Why would Ryles sign off on such a deal.....your a dopey prick Chiefy, the deal I am referencing is Ryles not appointing Pezet for a one…"

Also no one is 100% sold on Pezet, he "might be good" or he might just be another Brodie Croft lol. Let's pump the breaks
