Pezet only plays 1st grade when Moses is in SOO or injured

Pezet is on a low money contract.

Joash continues to start and develop at 5/8th

  I doubt Pezet comes here for that and Ryles even bothers with Pezet in Cup. Plus why sign Pezet anyway for that? Hawkins has Ryles trust, the way he talks about him. Pezet is signed to start.

geez it would be nice for one of these signing rumours to eventuate lol. Screwed at the final hour with Galvin and now Pezet.

Pezet can play no doubt but just a kick in the guts knowing he will only play a year, hard to get behind that. Was already struggling to process Dyl leaving, now we gotta do it all over again lol

So a player signed for another club before even starting his contract at a different club. The NRL is a disgrace but it is puzzling by Parra. I sort of understand why as it is basically a loan deal similar to Harry Grant went to tigers. We don't have a first grade level half of his calibre outside Moses and being from Melbourne Ryles knows he will be able to follow his game plan and play to style Ryles wants.

If we bought an experienced player we could lose Joash and Lorenzo or younger options as experienced half would want longer then 1 year. If reports are true and young players are good as people think a short term option isn't as bad as many are making out.

If Moses gets injured we definitely get value out of it, as Pezet is better then our other options right now at 7. As for playing 5/8 Ryles would have been upfront that he is developing Joash and others so Pezet will have to fight for starting role and may find himself in reserves but is first man up if Moses gets injured.

Pezet has been behind Wishart a number of times this year so was only 2nd choice back up and Melbourne may have told him Wishart was their priority so first choice back up at Parra is better option for him and for Parra.

  If you are signing Pezet to be competition for Joash, don't do the deal.

  NRL do not care as it creates clicks, they have admitted this to journo's. It has people talk about the game 12 months a year. Season is over and people will be talking about this.
