Strangest deal I've ever heard of, but adds depth to our club for this season. Joash should still be the 6 if this is the case

        Maybe Pezet is just being Brought to cover Moses during Origin/Injury and Joash does get first shot ? Wouldn't surprise me but having pezet in the squad for 2026 is fine

        Ok for depth is 1 thing, but why wouldnt he just stay in Melb then? Wasnt the whole reason he went to market was to play 1st grade. Hes not coming here to play reggies for parra, even then who are we moving on to accomodate him for 1 year? Hawkins, Volkman? this doesnt make sense

This would be a timid and feckless move by our club. Why would we sign a bloke who doesn't want to be a part of the club and is literally just using us to get to where he wants to be? FMD show some integrity and say no.

    It's not just purely business. Not if you want to get to the top. Ryles has spent significant energy realigning the culture at Parra. "All for the badge" is the latest mantra. This move flies in the face of all that. The Eels are like the husband buying his wife's boyfriend a Christmas present.

      True but it does buy the eels time to assess the market/juniors and other ideas instead of committing long term money to Pezet. Lot of big names hitting the market for 2027 season.
