Petition for a change of management

https://c.org/hCJpVTSCD8

^^^^^

Sign the petition if you want change, we want MON and JS out, happy for ryles to be given more time but it seems the people in the higher up are just incapable of running this club.

We want stronger recruitment and retention, better on field success, a clear vision of improvement.

We seem to really be struggling to attract any genuine nrl talent, and I think most of us fans have lost patience and faith in the current management/leaders of the club.

Again sign the petition if you are like me and are demanding a change to the club, otherwise ignore it and accept mediocrity like we have for the past 40 years.

  • Yeah I'm fine with it, though just saying Ryles also needs to be better in his decisions as he's apart of recruitment too and Ben Rogers needs to be included.

Unfortunately things like this are futile. Doubt they take our word for it.

    • Ryles shouldn't be brought into this. He's been at the club for less than 2 years and had to totally do a massive clean out of both first and reserve grades and justifiably so.

O'neill has had 9 years to sort out the roster issues.

  • Letting the inmates in to run the asyum has always been ineffectual.

We had a review and that review is now dated, let the incumbents organise a review, independantly and see how ot turns out.

Some may argue you won't get independance, but understand the changes you advocate will be no different than what we have.

We are a victim of our own constitutionally constructed restrictions, do you want this or the "Spagnolo's" of the world back in charge?

We just have to be patient as these things work there way through. My understnding is that TPA's are back on the list and I am assuming that the current R&R process is under a natural review.

I find the main beef in our current process is the adjudged competency of the people running the business, the smarter one's on here are calling for change in a disciplined and organised way. The dumb one's are calling for massive sackings and institutional changes, whereas they are in no way competent to do so.

I think the smart ones and the dumb ones have all been heard, we just need to sit back and be patient (yes maybe for another 40 years, who knows?)

I am disturbed that the coaching staff are being called into some sort of order by the "dumb ones" in an environment where we have been wracked by injuries. The last thing we need is to bring in a coach of reputation with a sugar pill effect and be in the same boat 3 years later (model St George).

Whatever we end up doing has to be a plan for the long term benefit of the club, we have seen a model just up the road, the similarity of them to us is closer than any other club in the NRL..... learn patience, especially the smart ones, the dumb ones will always be around changing from one week to the next.

What category do you think your in "dumb or smart" I have a pretty good idea, of course we can always change those definitions. You are allowed to learn!

    • I understand injuries, everyteam gets them. We should have more salary cap space then any other side with who we've released in the past 2 seasons. We've replaced players on big salaries with absolute garbage, and yet another year with a lack of depth. We have targetted a number of high profile players, our management, recruitment team are incapable of signing anyone that has any bit of demand from other nrl teams.

your also forgetting we were fully fit in round 1 and got slaughtered by 50. Stop the delusion.

  • I hear your frustration alexeel, however putting the cart before the horse never works. It's an absolute must that the club must  find out what is going wrong in the recruitment and retention areas. Like Pops says, a review by qualified independents is probably what is needed. Only once they know what's wrong , can it be improved. Unlike Pops, i don't see ourselves as a victim of our constitution, with stability. I see it as essential. The right people at the club just need to step out of the shadows and demand an independant review on R&R, then let the cards fall as they may, whilst it is fixed and improved.

    • Maybe my victim statement is misleading, I did qualify by saying we do not want another Spagnolo.

  • People are allowed to have their opinions but if they start abusing others for having an opinion, I'm going to start closing blogs and nuking posts or entire blogs.

    • Read poppas post.  Do the people organising this belong in an asylum as poppa has suggested to support his narrative    Start reading those posts before you post about abusing others

      • Well I did say "inmates" running the asylum....I didn't name any inmates....but if you want to stand up as one, I am happy for you to self identify! and anyone else as well for that matter......my question was "what category" do you want to identify with.

Of course a smart person would say they identify as a smart one and that you Poppa are a part of the "dumb" group.

I am happy to accept such critique but do warn you, your opinion will always be subjective.

Not the "sharpest tool" in the shed are you Chiefy?

  • definite changes are needed
