Parramatta need to throw the cheqbook the kitchen sink and whatever else to get him over to the eeles we need to give him Dylan browns money and the some hes a prop that other teams fear with him and 1 or 2 other signings we will be right up there i know his family is in Brisbane but money talks at the end of the day thoughts

He couldn't organise a fuck at a brothel either! Dopey fuck he is!!
I'm not sure why people put player's names forward who are less than zero chance of coming to the eels and then somehow the conclusion will be reached that those responsible for recruitment are incompetent. Mind boggling stuff
Throwing darts in the dark I call it.
Great point Adam. People will say Cleary is off-contract in 2030, we should offer him $2mil, when we don't we are idiots. Fletcher Sharpe is that, we should sign him despite being signed til 2029 we should still do it.
Or even worse, someone has a great game all of a sudden "We should get them".
Haha LB Fletcher Sharpe first time I saw him play I commented we should get him. Pretty sure it was you who pointed out he had a few years to run on his deal with the knights. I'm not across all things rugby league, it isn't my life, but surely people can see Payne Haas to the eels ain't happening, like ever.
Super commented the other day that the majority of recruitment is middle to lower teir players. Trying to find a "diamond in the rough " I believe was the expression he used. It's not about trying to fit the entire nsw blues squad into our cap. I think some just need to join us in reality.
No TPA's no chance Haas.
We needa bigger version of Jack Williams to play middle. Jack to the edge. I hope the rumors of carrigan are true. The Broncos will have plenty of players to off load. So we will see if the eels pick at the carcass. Hass would be 1.4 plus I would imagine. Prefer carrigan at 800k.
This is the problem because we are a bottom feeder without the after market support of the broncs you'd be paying Carrigan a mill to get him out of Brisbane that's the issue.Players just don't up n move because of what a fan or the market perceives there value.
Look at the DB deal they paid way overs to get him moved yet Carrigan should consider 800 k I'd tell Parra to go back to the accountants and try again if I were in his position.
Put it this way, he is going to somewhere to win a comp immediately. That wont be us in his eyes. Plus, to get him to even be interested we would need to offer what could be the richest deal in NRL history, do we do that for a Prop forward? Instead i would go for Carrigan. Haas is the better talent but Carrigan is a better fit for us in terms of leadership and work ethic. His voice and presence in the middle is something we have not had for decades, maybe perhaps since Cayless and Hindmarsh.
He is on $800k at Brisbane, i would give him $900-950k, hell even though i feel no forward is worth $1 mil i would be fine with it in this situation.
Pipe dream.
It ain't happening.
