  • We can think of it as a little breather for him.

  • Why doesn't Brad Arthur stand up for his players! Absolutely weak

    • Is it Brad's decision or O'Neill's with legal advice re chances of getting the outcome they want.

    • Because he would have lost the challenge and then been out for two weeks. Re-watch the tackle, there's no way Paulo is getting off on that.

It's unfortunate because it looked like a cracker of a tackle and 9 times out of 10 it wouldn't get called on the field. But it did. And when watched in slow mo with all angles available, it doesn't look great.

It was right to cop the week. We are playing the Tigers. Better that Junior freshens up for a week.

  • Weak club, weak leadership. Even if you don't get a downgrade you stand up for the club and make a point. It may save us later in the year if they fear grading some other indiscretion

    • The charge being bought about was absolutely incompetent by the NRL but it was also piss weak by the club to bend over and take it.

Way to support one of your captains.

      • Agree totally! The majority of commentators reckon it wasn't an illegal tackle or warranted sin bin. So why doesn't the coach and Co stick up for Paulo? It's ridiculous! can you see Trent Robinson not saying something if it was a Roosters player

        • 100% Spot On!  But Roosters players get off easily at the Judiciary.

  • Most unbelievable thing is NAS got off with a fine for his back of the head dog shot on a guy already being tackled by 3 other players but a perfectly fine 1 on 1 shoulder on shoulder collision gets a 1 week minimum suspension . The NRL/MRC/Judiciary have no idea, I thought Vlandys before the season said the judiciary, MRC and suspension system was getting an overhaul? Yes and overhaul to become more inconsistent, more inept and a hell of a lot less competent. Fuck Vlandys i thought we got a good operated after that last egg Greenberg, now you are just starting to look like a donut yourself Peter.

    • That's what pisses me off est_88.

NAS goes in with a swinging arm to the back of Makatoas head while he is being held by two other players and gets a $1500 fine and Paulo gets a week for a perfectly legal tackle.

There was more than enough evidence there for even a semi competent lawyer to get him off at the judiciary.

Not sure what's more frustrating, the fact the MRC sent this to the judiciary or that our gutless inept club rolled over and did the dirty on Paulo.

My other concern is when Paulo comes back he will be gun shy because he will be worried about getting penalised again and his gutless club not backing him up.
