Mick Cronin coaches Gerringong Lions 1st grade side in the Group 7 competition. They play Warilla in the Grand Final this week after they both beat hot favourotes Albion Park in consecutive weeks.
I watched a few rugby league DVD's on the weekend and the Mick Cronin's 1986 Grand Final story was an interesting one. Mick travelled from Gerringong to Sydney only a few hours before every game including the Grand Final, but on that day in September there was an accident on the highway, 10 car pile up and Cronin was running out of time to make the game, but he informed a police officer and was given an escort. That day he missed 2 easy goals from right in front, but kicked 2 goals from the sideline to win the game for Parra.
Slip , You asked about Steve Ella... HE runs a detox clinic on the central coast for Aboriginals with drug problems. So doing community work. Nice to hear...
The Crows Gerringong side just won the Group 7 GF 21-20. One of his young blokes scored two tries and his other young bloke kicked the wining field goal in the final minutes. Go the Lions...
"The refs can't even hide their bias against Parra any more. I truly hope Ryles demands a meeting with the NRL after this. It's just completely unprofessional what we are watching from the refs here."

Anyone know if Steve Edge is still the marketing manager at Parra?
