Looking back in my facebook memories it has been 9 years to the day of the game being played. Where were you when you watched it and what do you remember?.

I was at the game. The bar was that busy I, along with many others, were just grabbing two trays of beer and walking out of the bar without paying. Saved about $100 lol
I was in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital recovering from a liver transplant I had 15 days before. I remember there was a massive crowd, about 75,000 which was a record for a non grand final game. Kimmorley suffered a significant injury a week or 2 before and there was massive conjecture about him playing. I think he failed to recover in time but I'm not sure, someone will remember. Haynes was in that magnificent vein of form he was in that season and he was pretty much unstoppable. The rest of the side were playing out of their skins. Jeff Robson and Daniel Mortimer in the halves were controlling things, Joe Gulavao and Todd Lowrie were in career best form. Hindy and his great mate Nathan Cayless were tireless, Fui Fui was causing major havoc consistently. Kevin Kingston caming on as a replacement and had our forwards hammering the Dogs pack. The team was just on fire and we ran over Canterbury and roared into the GF.
My thoughts since then have been that if I had been that unwell, my doctor had told my wife I had only 2 to 5 days left only hours before they located a suitable liver for me, in any other season in the last 15 years I would have carked it. Maybe not 2016 or 2017, performance-wise, but 100%this season.
At the game, the most enjoyable moment was heading back to the station & joining in with any Parra group of supporters, screaming yelling & jumping up & down. Thinking this could be the year we win this title..... Only to be beaten by a team that was so much over the cap, it was taken from them. Heartbreaking!!!
I was at the game. Loved ringing every bulldogs supporter I know after the game and letting them know the result. Best game of footy I have ever been to.

I remember Tim Mannah scoring a try. Jeff Robson playing a blinder.
