Parramatta re-sign Clint Gutherson for the next three years

Parramatta has re-signed exciting up and coming play maker Clint Gutherson for next three years, extending his contract until the end of the 2019 season.

Gutherson’s form in 2016 has won him plaudits and recognition as a vital player in the backline for the Eels, playing in every one of the 24 games during the season.

“Clint is a great talent and has already made his mark on our team in his first season,” said Head Coach Brad Arthur.

“He has added a great deal of skill into our back line and I’m looking forward to seeing him create more opportunities when the next season kicks off in 2017."

The 22 year old made his representative debut for the NSW City team in 2016.

Gutherson now joins Corey Norman and Manu Ma'u as Eels players who have extended their contracts till the 2019 season.

  • Good signing.
  • Great news, I really like Gutho and what he brings to the team and he is going to get better and better.

  • I've been told he's really impressing in the halves already. Really looking forward to seeing how he makes a fist of it.

    • But Phil, Aaron Luke said that the Parra boys don't think Gutho is a solution in the halves. Are you telling me he lied!?
  • Good to see although i thought he was already re-signed, regardless, good stuff but a message to Clint, bro you need to do something with your hair, its not a fucking good look, you look like a 16 year old private school boy who because school rules forbid length at the back the only option to express ones individuality or lack there of is to grow length on the top, i was there once when i was 16 too Clint, it wasn't a good look lol.

    • Funnily enough mate. My son looks like Clint with his little goatie and stupid hair lol

    • Baha remember that trend snake . All the pats and trinity boys at Epping station had it !!!lol
  • Future Captain
  • Fantastic news!

I still believe that he would be at the top of the fullbacks ranks if he was chosen there?

He has everything to be one hell of a fullback.

Anyway, regardless of where he plays he is a great team member, player and will hopefully take his game to another level in 2017.

    A great signing it seems?

    • ditto

"TDS is still young, with plenty of improvement left in him. He could still play Flegg in 2026 ffs. And despite being two years younger than Ryley Smith, he has played nine more NRL games."
