Parramatta has informed the NRL integrity unit after being made aware of photographs circulating on social media of rising star Isaiah Iongi.
This masthead has been sent photos of Iongi seemingly smoking a substance. After becoming aware of the matter, the Eels have contacted the NRL, as is required under the rules whenever a club suspects there is a potential integrity issue.

Parramatta officials have also attempted to contact Iongi, but have so far been unable to do so on Tuesday morning.
Iongi is considered a future superstar, nominated as one of the rookies of the year after a breakout season in 2025.
After playing just one NRL game for Penrith, Iongi has made the No.1 jersey his own at the club following the departure of Clint Gutherson.

Even if it was marijuana who cares. He shouldn't do it of course but it's not like it's crack cocaine.

Well it is easier to lie about what the actual substance is, compared to say cocaine where what else would you be putting into lines and snorting? Salt?

Latrell Mitchell got 1 week for his cocaine photo. That was proven to be recent
If this is an old photo and also part of smear campaign from his ex surely it can not be deemed the same as Latrell with Cocaine but with Lomax situation the NRL now have some leverage.
The club will get Iongi to make a statement apologising for decisions and actions but it is an old photo and he has changed. NRL will still give him 1 week.
They can't really prove what Izzy was smoking but and if the ex is involved they'll let it go.
That is the thing, could be a homemade cigarette with tobacco. Cannot really prove what is in it. He will cop a hiding from Ryles but that's what it should be.
I would be surprised if this was and is a recent photo; and we have not seen all the pics; and as others have mentioned is this an old photo from an old flame from panthers? Who knows.
