Parramatta has informed the NRL integrity unit after being made aware of photographs circulating on social media of rising star Isaiah Iongi.
This masthead has been sent photos of Iongi seemingly smoking a substance. After becoming aware of the matter, the Eels have contacted the NRL, as is required under the rules whenever a club suspects there is a potential integrity issue.

Parramatta officials contacted Iongi on Tuesday morning.
Iongi is considered a future superstar, nominated as one of the rookies of the year after a breakout season in 2025.
After playing just one NRL game for Penrith, Iongi has made the No.1 jersey his own at the club following the departure of Clint Gutherson.

Well hold on, it is expensive. Not a bad purchase, he needs something to carry his straping tape, mouthguard and sticky spray.
Although there is a leniency for a first strike with recreational drugs like marijuana, Iongi will face suspension for getting himself into a situation where he knew he was being photographed and in these times, this is what can happen - thus bringing the game into disrepute.
If Iongi pleads guilty he will be gone.
Getting himself into this situation is the issue here.
If the claims its tobacco or a smoking herb, nothing can be done and he's scott free..
Well he is dumb enough to say yeah it's pot then he deserves suspension. Let's be fair all clubs do it, Parra will tell him to say it is herbs or tobacco. If this pic is old he should be fine with a drug test. They test them all the time now anyway.
If he does a drug test, it is negative and says it is herbs, how can they prove it? Unless there are messages asking for something or something like that.
Just get Arthur Moses to represent him, it worries me that Parra fans (with the exception of Randy) could offer the right advice.
Because it was posted maliciously by an outside party I don't think Iongi will be punished at all. Maybe a small fine and don't do this again thing. But this was someone bringing up personal old photos to smear him. Should be sweet

Well there was a story late last year where he was talking to another chick on tiktok. She then said they were talking then found out he was with his ex the whole time. Then Iongi cleared it up saying that his sister and his ex are good friends, the ex atteneded his sister's graduation, as did Isaiah and someone cropped a photo to make it look like they were standing next to each other.
Just a massive you know what. That is social media for you.
