Parramatta has informed the NRL integrity unit after being made aware of photographs circulating on social media of rising star Isaiah Iongi.
This masthead has been sent photos of Iongi seemingly smoking a substance. After becoming aware of the matter, the Eels have contacted the NRL, as is required under the rules whenever a club suspects there is a potential integrity issue.

Parramatta officials contacted Iongi on Tuesday morning.
Iongi is considered a future superstar, nominated as one of the rookies of the year after a breakout season in 2025.
After playing just one NRL game for Penrith, Iongi has made the No.1 jersey his own at the club following the departure of Clint Gutherson.
Story updated: Eels have spoken with Iongi this morning.

Helps him that it's an old photo + someone posting it to get him in hot water. Context is on his side
A hell of a lot of speculation going on here.
The kid is 22 years old, and is doing absolutely nothing more or less then a lot of people his age.
I hope he is okay, and can handle the media scrutiny that is bearing down on him. Head up young fella, shake it off, there are lots of us old timers that are hoping you keep your head on straight and rip into your footy. Your a star in the making, don't throw it away now. Stay strong, we need you.
That's first and foremost, club will take care of him and teammates id assume.
This is the best comment on this thread.
Footy players are footy players. They're not rocket scientists - or monks - this fella is just a young kid with huge talent making his way in life, he has the world at his feet and will dead set be a superstar This is nothing compared to what every single one of us got up to in our youth. He'll be just fine.
The club and players will wrap their arms around him and the media can f*#k right off.
Isaiah will win plenty of games for us this year :)))
Kram the man you're back good to see and your comments are spot on and totally agree
Krams, great to see you.
Spot on, he's young and footy players are footy players, not rocket scientists or monks.
Hope the club and players embrace him and support him.
I'd still like to see legal action, just out of principle.
Kram !!!! So nice to see you
everytime someone from " the family " reappears it's always amazing
hopefully it's a good year !!!
It's coming out that the pic was taken while playing for Penrith by his ex. How true that? No idea.
Yea she's been bothering him for a while now, heard some noise about it last season of her trying to get him in trouble. Shes a menance
The club shouldn't go over the top and punish him. If this is a revenge type of situation it needs to be taken into context . We really need to stop trying to label footy players as role models . These kids have lived very different lives from the average 22 year old .
Nrl needs to work through this and not put the kid out of the game for any longer than a week . The mobile phone - ruined many a marriage, career , integrity . Each one of those photos were taken in private settings by people he trusted . That hard bit. Realisation that nrl players are fair game for this sort of pay back .
